The Mobile Pantry provides FREE fruits & vegetables every 4th Saturday in the PRBC Gym from 11am to 1pm. With EXPAND, the successful applicant/ borrower is able to receive a loan and the lender is in a more secure collateral position. Business owners must create one job for every $35,000 of collateral provided by EXPAND and owners or principles provide a personal guarantee and at least 10 percent of the total project costs as equity. Here's how it works: EXPAND provides additional collateral for up to 25 percent of the loan, capped at $150,000. In 1994, the Phoenix City Council established the Small Business Assistance Program to help small business owners address challenges and provide a one stop shop of technical and financial assistance. The City of Phoenix Community and Economic Development Department offers two programs designed to help small businesses!! Eligibility criteria for each scholarship award varies and may include financial need, merit, geographic area or field of study.CITY OF PHOENIX SMALL BUSINESS ASSISTANCE Each year millions of dollars are awarded to thousands of Arizona students to pursue their higher education goals at a wide range of colleges, from the Maricopa County Community Colleges and Arizona's three universities (UA, ASU, GCU) to Stanford, Duke, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and the University of Hawaii, among many others. Through its family of scholarship funds, the Arizona Community Foundation is Arizona's largest private provider of college scholarships. Each award has its own deadline, with some closing as early as February and some as late as May. Interested students are advised to apply early in order to be considered for the most awards. Progress in completing the application can be saved so that students can work on their submission over time. The general application for the 2019-2020 academic year is now live.
